225W medical ac-dc supply in 4 x 2 x 1inch

Gresham-Power-Electronics-OF225

Called OFM225 input is universal 85-264Vac or 390Vdc and efficiency is up to 94%. Active input power factor correction (PFC) is included.

Output voltage is a choice between 12, 15, 24, 30, 48 or 56Vdc, and all models feature an auxiliary output to power a cooling fan, and an optional cover kit can be ordered.

Fan cooling is needed to achieve 225W, without this, 120W output is available from convection cooling. The unit will operate over -40 to +70°C, although derating is requires under some circumstances, with or without fan cooling.

Over-voltage, over-current and short-circuit protection is included.

Key international safety agency and EMC approvals are met as follows: EN60601-1 3rd Edition Class I or Class II, CSA/UL 60601-1 Medical Safety, IEC/EN60601-1 3rd Edition, CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 60601-1 3rd Edition, Nemko, UL, cUL and CE Marks, EN50022 (CISPR 22) FCC Part 15 Conducted—Level B, EN61000-3-2 Class D Harmonics, EN61000-4-2, 3, 4, 5 Level 3 Immunity.

As well as medical use, the PSU can be used for LED lighting, telecoms and industrial applications, said Salisbury-based Gresham, which has been part of Californian firm Digital Power since 1998.

For non-medical applications, a similar PSU, OF225, is available.
